Step 1 Choose a stock
First and foremost select a stock that you wish to use.
Today i will be using this one:
Step 2 : the selection
Select the Pen Tool () from the options. If you can not see this
go to: Window > Tools.
Step 3 Curves And Edges
Usually I zoom in about 800% when I render but for
the purpose of showing you, I have zoomed out.
For curves click on a start spot then click and hold in a
new spot that you desire. Do not let go of the pointer.
Drag the new selceted point to add a curve. Like this:
After you have finished one curve hold down alt and left click the new
point you have made so you can get rid of the handle, after doing this
you can continue with the rendering. Repeat if using curves.
Now for the straight edges i do not hold and drag the mouse
for this. I just click in the spots around the stock. Like this:
Step 5: Moving A Point If you have placed a point in the wrong spot you can move it by
holding down ctrl and left click and dragging to the new spot.
Or you can ctrl + z
Step6 : Almost there
Once you come back around with the Pen Tool Click
on the starting point and it will compleate the line.
Step 7: completing it
after going around the whole stock and have finished
the Pen Tooling all you do is right click > make selction. A window will
pop up, just press ok then you will see marching ants around the stock.
Press delete to get rid of the background leaving you with your render.
hope you enjoyed i love using the pen now
